and he steps out
tuxedo ruffling in the wind
it’s a warm day but he seems to stay cool
you walk with him around back and ask him what he would like
anything will do he says
and you bring him a glass of chardonnay
sitting in the shade
he sips and begins to chat
topics range from gardening to sports
his voice clear and kind
but he doesn’t slow down
and you find it hard to keep up with his
racing

but you feel cool and classy
